YP Nation is built for young people, so we collect as little as possible: a first name and an email address. This page explains what that means in plain language.
What we collect
When you join YP Nation we ask for a first name and an email address. Nothing else is required. Sharing an age group is optional, and a parent or guardian may also share the age group of the Young Planner they are joining for.
We never ask young people for a surname, home address, phone number, date of birth, school or photograph in order to join.
When you use the contact form we collect the name, email address, subject and message you send so we can reply.
How we use it
We use your email address to send news about youth events, challenges, resources and future opportunities, and — if you asked for them — YP | Young Planner™ apparel drop alerts.
An age group, when shared, only helps us make sure the messages we send suit the person reading them. We do not sell, rent or trade anyone’s information.
Young people and guardians
YP Nation is built for youth. Young people aged 13 and over can join for themselves.
A young person under 13 is joined by a parent or guardian, who chooses the Parent / Guardian option, confirms they are the parent or legal guardian, and gives their own email address. Updates go to the adult, not to the child.
A parent or guardian can ask to see or remove a young person’s information at any time and we will remove it.
Leaving the list
Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also reach us through the contact form to be removed.
Once you unsubscribe we stop sending messages and remove your details from the mailing list.

A parent, guardian or Young Planner can ask us to remove their details at any time through the contact form on the home page.
